Christ Church, Cooperstown, is blessed by the generous support of parishioners and friends who sustain our ministries through their tithes and offerings.

Members of Christ Church give careful, prayerful consideration to their support of the Parish. Most members choose to make a pledge—a financial commitment—for the year, usually paid in weekly or monthly installments. The discipline of giving is an essential part of the Christian faith and life. Our pledges are a way of gratefully returning to God a portion of what we have received from him.

The biblical standard of giving is a tithe—one tenth of one’s annual income. This standard has the benefit of being both easy to calculate and truly sacrificial. Of course, that latter benefit also makes tithing a challenge for us. The important thing to remember is that God wants us to grow as generous, giving people, whatever the dollar amount or percentage of our income at which we begin. Commit to giving what you can now—and to growing in that commitment each year, as God leads you.

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of the people of this Parish, in the Cooperstown community, and in the wider world. Because Christ Church is a nonprofit organization, all contributions are tax deductible.
